The way we work in IBtheTOP can be summarised by one word, ‘efficient’. IBtheTOP strives forward to making every aspect of the academy work to be time and effort efficient via tech. This is mainly because Harry, the director, is of tech background.

There’s no need to be looking at google calendar, excel report sheet, student profile word document. TIMS app provides all you have to refer to including but not limited to class schedule, student profile, report write up.

We update class PPTs, question books, mock test papers with the latest syllabus updates as well as the most recent past papers. Large amount of such work is handled by TAs with the help of ChatGPTs before the final check by instructors. In the world of generative AI, everyone should be able to utilise AI to add something good to their life and in the education industry the contribution generative AI brings in is limitless. For this reason, Harry, the director, makes every effort he can to educate all his colleagues how to best use ChatGPT.

Presentation of all these educational contents is also very important. With just a little bit of effort and taking one more step than others, we have successfully beautified all the study notes we have used in class and officially published these for sales to students outside the academy.

Our efforts with visual aspect of class materials has also taken off with online classes following COVID-19 pandemic. In order to maximally engage students in online class, we have maximally designed our class PPTs to be visually dynamic and interactive. We even rented out iPad and MacBook to instructors so that online classes are of top-quality in every aspect including the visual and audio.

We understand that writing weekly reports is a big time commitment which is why we built the AI report write up system. We value work and life balance so we want our teachers to spend minimal time outside class. We also want managers to easily send reports to parents which is why we have not only integrated ‘Kakao alarm talk’ so that we can send the report written by instructors at the click of a button but also developed a program to convert instructor’s data input to a beautifully presented report design.

Marking homework and mock test papers is an integral part of instructors’ and TAs’ work. In the era of AI, we are hoping to reduce such workload by implementing a smart AI grading system.

We are looking for talents to smartly work with us using such tech outlined above. You don’t have to be necessarily the best when starting off. But you do need to have the right attitude to embracing new methodologies so that together we can become the best.
