Overview
Objective | Outcome | Structure |
Complete assignments more effectively through written feedback/editing instead of real-time classes. | While a score of 7 cannot be guaranteed, this program helps students improve by at least 1 grade band. | From topic selection all the way to final draft submission or one-time support for a final draft only. |

Feedback and Edit (1.5 hr worth) | Feedback and Edit (1.5 hr worth) |
Bring 1–2 possible topics ideas (with reasons) | Bring a nearly complete draft (allow ~200 words room) | Bring the school teacher’s feedback |
Science or maths students may require a follow-up session for experiment design. | May be edited over 2 sessions, i.e. 1st after completion of paragraph 1, 2 and 2nd after completion of paragraph 3, 4. | 2 hours worth of editing for one-time support only; if fundamental issues are found, real time class may be recommended instead. |
*The topic selected may be denied by the school teacher for reasons to do with what can only be explained as very subjective opinion of ‘an individual’.
*Once feedback is requested, edits will be returned within 3 business days (72 hours).
*To ensure smooth editing, progress check on the Saturday before the 1st draft submission
Scope of Editing

3.
Feedback comments will be given instead for missing sections
*Example editing / feedback for a 1st draft
Students must be self-motivated and take ownership of their own learning for the program to be effective.
Possible | Not Possible |
Use study notes, record lecture series, and online searches to write independently | Teacher intervention is always needed for parts the student cannot understand |
Have the drive to meet deadlines and improve their work | Procrastination and lack of urgency to meet deadlines |
Prefer written feedback over real-time Zoom meetings |
Expected Outcomes
Feedback does not change the main argument or direction of the essay but improves expression, coherence, and scoring potential.
If the content or structure needs to be reworked entirely, editing is not possible so feedback is provided instead.
Typically, a well-organized 2-hour feedback process can raise the score by about 1 mark.
For example:
•
In ToK (10-point scale), a student may go from 6 to 7.
•
In English or other IAs, students may gain 1 mark in each criterion (A, B, C, D). So, if you start with a low 5 just over the threshold, a high 5 may be given instead of 6.

Cautionary Notes
Incomplete Drafts | Writing in non-English | Timing | Final Submission |
We can edit your writing, but we cannot write it for you. Incomplete drafts cannot be guaranteed a score boost. | Translation will reduce time available for feedback. Please complete all possible parts yourself in English. | You are responsible for managing deadlines. No reminders will be given. | Make sure to remove any comments or feedback before submitting to school. |
